Speaker: Samuel Issacharoff

On 27 June 2023, online at 6pm Sydney time, our panel was joined by Professor Samuel Issacharoff for a discussion about his recent book, Democracy Unmoored: Populism and the Corruption of Popular Sovereignty (Oxford University Press, 2022).

Our panel was the leaders of our project, Honorary Associate Professor Adam Czarnota and Professor Martin Krygier, of the University of New South Wales, Sydney, and Professor Wojciech Sadurski of the University of Sydney.

The session was recorded and the archive edition is now available for viewing.^

The discussants take a tour of key themes from the book, then the international audience participated in the Q&A session (Q&A begins after about 1 hour).

  1. Thanks Caroline, I’m back from the Democracy Institute. I’m going to send them this now that I know the folks. I don’t know how many of them know of it. And re some finance questions are you likely to be at work any time next week? I’ll be in Monday, and I’m flexible otherwise.
    Cheers, Martin
